Anyone here use pdanet+ to tether? What kind of speed do you get via USB? Does it match up to your phones speed? My phone gets pic related but on my computer I'm showing about 0.5 down and 0.3 up. Any suggestions?
I used pdanet free witg my alcatel phone because the wifi hotspot proprietary shit crashed. I just bought a new phone (huawei p10 lite), use native proprietary wifi hotspot, works gr8. Pdanet is cool but I don't want to pay for something as basic as a wifi hotspot
Why would you need a app for this when Android has tethering built in?

Because att limits to 10gb monthly. I regularly hit a TB. The app blocks them from seeing that it's tether data

Limits tethering I mean

Kek, didn't remember americans get cucked in this too. I don't know does the carrier get any information of tethering here, you literally just enable tethering from settings and it just works, just like that. Full speed and everything. The carrier never has cared despite using several hundred gigabytes a month, and we haven't even heard of tethering limits. How does it work, how do they know you tether when using the built-in feature in Android but not when using a app?

I guess if you're using the tether setting in Android it reports it to your carrier or somehow otherwise identifies it as tethering data. With the app all att sees is an app using the data.
