Make sure you're not using WiFi. Other than that just live with it. My family pays for 250 Mbps but we get 11 Mbps on a good day.

Im not sure if it's been deployed anywhere besides a few data centers though to be honest.

Most people would bundle up a few smaller OC lines to multiple locations. MOST people have no need for a single location to be fed with a 100gbps conneciton. Though i'm sure network carriers might have a few in operation for backbone type stuff.

also this. we pay for 300/20 here and get upwards of 350/20. the only thing that sucks is it made me realize that they could easily enable that 1gbps connection but aren't going to unless competition arrives in the area.

Comcast, AT&T, and Verizon all offer 1gbps in and around the major cities and suburbs (or are currently in the process of expanding their services to offer such speeds).
