I'll help get this thread stated. I recently ordered a 2017 13" MBP none touch with base i5, 16GB RAM and 256GB SSD. I'm already thinking I made a huge mistake though :( Apple gave me some shitty nigger Beats worth 300 I can sell on eBay but still......feels like I'm going to end up returning it. I also miss my Thinkpad

So tired of this bullshit.
What's the best option for Adobe premiere? Subscription?
Stop creating all these stupid fucking generals, if you want a subreddit then reddit is more your site.

Recommend trying to sell it at a reasonable price anon
Just try and buy a used 2015 macbook pro 13" because offers more and plus the specs aren't really outdated. They go for about $700 used

I got an ipod shuffle as a gift once.
It sucked dick
Was such a hassle trying to get music on it without nazi itune software trying to take all control from me
I eventually lost it and never missed it since
Got a Sandisk Clip+ on a black friday sale and it's about 70 billion times better and easier to use.

>Using the 15" version as example to counter-argue my claim to buy a 13" macbook

For me, it was actually easy to get songs on iTunes and Ipod nano when limewire was popular
>>61682915
Why would I sell it when I can just return it? And to be honest, even the old MBP gives me the same negative feelings. I worry about the non existent repairability and the alien OS which seems to be losing even to Windows 10. I feel like I've fallen for the "be a normal person and use this shitty product so you can fit in" Apple meme. This is the second time I've tried to abandon being a tech wizard gamer and every time I start feeling like I'm pretending to be someone I'm not. These products don't make sense to me yet I feel like I have to use them to fit in with all the normies. FUCK
HOW MANY FUCKING GENERALS DOES THIS BOARD NEED?
Op, seriously, fuck off

Then have you consider trying to install a distro like ubuntu, arch, and gentoo or maybe using bootcamp and windows 7 if macOS isn't for your liking?
To be honest half apple user are for people who do not know about technology well and what something that "Just Werks™" and looks cool
You should just stick your thinkpad m8 because thinkpads are god's little tech gift to the world and I'm planning to buy a thinkpad t420 or t520

Is it worth it to get a mac mini?
>>61686741
It depends what you need it for. It's the cheapest way to get a supported version of macOS if that matters to you. If you want a server, there are better small form factor computers
>>61686755
>If you want a server, there are better small form factor computers
Hmm. Have any suggestions?
>>61686768
Let your home server take up space, you need space for HDDs anywyas, you dont live in a miniature japanese apartment after all.
The mac mini + external harddrives will be a total cable mess.
