How much data would a hard drive this size be able to hold, if they were to make one like it today?
Multiplying the surface area of 50 24" platters by the figure cited in this wikipedia article of 1.34/Tbit/sq in. I got a figure of 15.2 PB, or 15155 TB.

Damn that's a lot of data. I'm guessing a hard drive that big probably would have too many moving parts/too high of a failure rate for practical usage, and it probably would be slow too.
