Why is it that when someone has a screen protector on their phone, it is almost always in worse condition than someone's who doesn't have a screen protector on their phone?

Because it's easier to buy a piece of plastic than figure out how to not be a clumsy retard.

>I am personally too cheap to buy!

These things are bread payback cheap, I don't use because they are all the same terrible shit.

well it protects your screen front getting scratches from your keys or being in your pocket/bag
>"but dude I use my phone with no case or screen protector and it's in pristine condition because I never have accidents!"

Two years old phone, I have only two scratches. They are hair thread thin, and are like 1cm long and 0.5 cm long.

>repair a poo in loos iPhone 6s at work 2 weeks ago
>she brings it into me two days ago complaining that the screen isn't working
>LCD cracked ever so slightly on the top, causing 1/3 of the screen to be completely black top to bottom
>glass protector on the top, cracked in multiple positions
>tell customer that there is no way I can repair this again under warranty, obviously physical damage
>customer goes away, comes back again with the glass protector peeled off
>"look anon, the glass is in perfect condition, fix it again for free please"
>give her the most dumbfounded look I've ever given a customer, tell her she will have to pay again if she wants it fixed again
>runs off to her poo in loo husband complaining about terrible quality even though the phone was clearly dropped multiple times

It's true, people who use them expect the glass on top to protect their phone from nuclear explosions. Even though I have one on my phone, I know it's solely to protect the screen from micro scratches, nothing else.

I have a screen protector and both my screen and the protector have 0 scratches on them. It is a matte protector tho
