It's true, people who use them expect the glass on top to protect their phone from nuclear explosions. Even though I have one on my phone, I know it's solely to protect the screen from micro scratches, nothing else.

I have a screen protector and both my screen and the protector have 0 scratches on them. It is a matte protector tho
