Hi guys. I need to replace my t420's battery. Can somebody please recommend good sellers/chink batteries on ebay/aliexpress/etc. ? I am afraid that I'll end up with some soykaf-tier one if I'll pick battery on my own.

If anyone got any questions related to eGPUs then you got 30 minutes before I go to sleep.

if i find my t420's 'mouse buttons' (what are they actually called?) a little too stiff/unresponsive, is there anything i can do?

Any. Get the cheapest you can find, as your iGPU is too shitty to benefit from higher speeds anyway. 1600MT/s should be the cheapest one.

So I decided to eat lunch at a nice restaurant near my office today, I'm bogged down writing this report so I decide to take my company laptop with me (T420 in mint condition).

I'm working away and enjoy my lunch when out of the corner of my eye, I see a figure walking towards my table. It's a guy wearing a fedora and a FSF t-shirt. He tries to strike up conversation about my T420, complimenting its excellent condition and 7 row keyboard.

I was so taken aback by this, I had an utterly shocked look on my face. So this is /g/ in real life. I wanted to remain incognito, so I said "It's my work computer. It's OLD".

He scrunched up his face with a look of utter disgust. I saw him walk away muttering something about "normies ruined ThinkPad, they don't know the joys of having a 7 row keyboard and a magnesium alloy rollcage..."

Decided to make a quick exit, on the way out I noticed him using a X60 with a libreboot sticker on it, running some sort of riced tiling WM with an anime wallpaper. He was arguing across the table with a Mac user. Overheard something along the lines of "Macs are locked down pieces of trash...Louis Rossman hates them"

I snatched a T460. Did i do good?

someone on letgo in my area has a z61m titanium with a dock and charger in working condition for $50 and I'm gonna buy it, it's sketch because no pictures but I can test it on site before i pony up the cash, right now I don't have a computer but an old c2d thinkpad with a dock for $50 is a god tier shitposting box

You need to power it anon. Remeber that laptops are sub 100w and they use all of it, there's no wattage to spare.

If it's one of the higher end T7xxx cpu's it will be about 85% of the performance of an X200/T400 (which has the P8xxx cpu's). But believe me, it won't be as good, and those older T7xxx cpu's will heat up like crazy.

Also you can get a T400 dock for $10 on ebay, so don't act like getting a dock with it is anything special.
