OpenBSD or FreeBSD. I have been running linux for a while. I have been running gentoo for a few months and I want to try something different (i.e. a *BSD OS) which one should I go with?
> muh GPL
No.
they both suck more than Linux and that's saying something
First off why are you thinking of hopping OSes?
OpenBSD is great so long as you've got Intel integrated graphics.

I think free is the more desktopy/featureful one.

Dude just install kvm and virt-manager and run them as vms. You can try as many BSDs as you want and you dont have to reinstall anything. Theres no point in hopping around to different os just stick with one you like.

GhostBSD
FreeBSD is the only BSD worth using. OpenBSD is a meme, it's slightly more secure than FreeBSD but at the expense of everything else.

THIS

FreeBSD is very suitable as a desktop.
Go with the 32bit variant if you want to game via wine.

GhostBSD is trash please don't recommend that or TrueOS
bsd on the desktop will never take off with these trashy ass distros being promoted
