Is there any way to burn this retarded fucking format with having to buy Nero? Just modded my old Saturn and nearly every single game seems to be dumped in this format. A google search turns up shoddy looking links. Pic semi related?

Find something else that supports it. IsoBuster, UltraISO, etc.

Even free shit like ImgBurn supports .nrg
There are loads of conversion tools.

Tried ImgBurn. Got an eror about 'not supporting single track files'

Granted if its not single track thats not ImgBurn's fault, but sill

run, do not walk, in the other direction
you want a proper BIN+CUE dump or nothing at all
this isn't format autism, a lot of these other dumps just suck because the dumper doesn't know shit about what they're doing
although the state of Saturn dumps is pretty awful, so it might be tricky
you should be able to find darkwater (hint hint) releases of most US (or PAL, but fuck that) games, they do decent dumps
finding good dumps of JP games can be a nightmare though
bin+cue isn't perfect (no subchannel data, IIRC there are PS1 games that use that for copy protection), but it's a damn sight better than all these other poorly supported formats (also, dumping/writing subchannel data is an exercise in pain because of awful support on normal CD burners since it's not actually needed in ordinary audio or data CD burning)
all the big titles like Silvergun, Bulk Slash, and almost all of the US library should be available in BIN+CUE
nothing wrong with redump style .bin per-track dumps either

makes sense. Only game I've gotten burned properly so far is silvergun and that was bin cue. EMuparadise had some .mds/mdf stuff but I an't burn that either
