Miners bought out the market because in large scale they can make a pretty mint off crypto.

We're not talking about people buying 4 cards or something. We're talking about guys buying out all the stock in multiple stores and running an industrial operation in rented warehouses.

All of that stock is going to get dumped back onto the market eventually - probably within the next 6 months - but it makes right now one of the worst times ever to buy GPU's; all the decent mining-cards are also the low/mid range products, so everyone's had to turn to higher tier cards, which has driven the price on those up. There's basically nothing in the market available for gamers.

I know I sure as fuck ain't paying $450 for a fucking RX 580, or $1100 for a 1080ti
