mod staff took donations to setup a new site using the apollo name a week or so ago and then A talked to them and offered them control over the original site. they apparently already bought servers for the new site so it's gonna be used on the old one or something. supposedly it'll actually stay up this time. torrent count is slowly going up and seeders seem to be online after the https tracker is back.

tl;dr: a shitshow but at least there's an alternative to RED that actually has content

Economy on bib was always such a mess. No wonder something like this happened.

There was already very little to gain from uploading your average novels at ~1mb. I spent a lot of time uploading those and basically gained nothing. You have to upload dozens and dozens of those to be able to download a single ebook at 100mb.

Much easier to upload a retail nonfiction epub at ~100mb or couple of audiobooks and hope that someone snatches one of them.
