why would you ever want a CRT in this day and age?
>>61527810
>no image rescaling on any resolution
>no blurred pixels with moving images
>high refresh rates, can even be overclocked
>glorious 4:3 aspect ratio
>perfect black levels
why are you not using a CRT in this day and age?

I have a superior IPS panel.
CRTs are only acceptable for their time correct equipment, i.e. game consoles and computers.

Who fucking cares, theres tons of monitors today that get accurate colors and black levels. Why do you insist on being such a fuckin hipster by using old, antiquated bullshit for the most frivolous reasons

I'll give a balanced opinion
I think it's probably not worth the heat (especially in the summer) or the electricity bill unless you're getting a very high-end (I mean like professional graphic designer) CRT
our university had one lab with mac graphic-design workstations and they used HUGE flat screen crt's and the image and colors and videos were absolutely gorgeous (people were sometimes allowed to use them for other work when the adjacent computer lab with pleb class PC's was full) I don't think I'd seen any such good display since then, even on LCD/IPS/whatever
you could get a lesser model for occasional nostalgia, or as a backup if your LCD dies, but not for day-to-day use
