This quote is really bothering me ! I tried learning programming as a nice hobby but I just cannot shake the feeling I'm not meant to be doing this now. It was so fun when I first started now I'm slowly starting to lose my motivation because of this quote
I can barely even concentrate on programming anymore should I just give up or keep trying

"if a quote can make you stop doing something, stop doing it, also quote this"
There's a reason so many senior programmers move on to managerial positions/similar, and program only hobby projects, if at all.

get a book, read it even if you don't get it, do the damn exercises included. then do stuff and reread the book

I haven't stopped yet

Anyone can learn programming, some better than others, but you do need to be able to think in the right mindset and be able to combine abstract problem solving with the principles of discrete mathematics. That is, if you want to be a better programmer than pajeet.

I got you a better quote:
"Programming is hard"
Sure, you can teach monkeys the syntax and the meaning of all those things, and nowadays bootcamps promising people to teach them how to code in a week are very popular.
But programming is inherently a hard thing to do right. It takes a lot of effort and discipline to get it.

what do you already know
>>61528103
Thanks lads I'll continue trying to get it
>>61528130
I only did the first few exercises from automate the boring stuff

If its fun and you 'get it', understand programming then I guess you were born a programmer.
Fuck programming. Programming is just a small (although essencial) part of the wonderful world of computing.
Don't just be a programmer, seek deep knowledge about computing in general. Learn about everything, physics, circuits, automata, learn math, learn how to write your own compiler, learn how to reimplement libjpeg.
You'll be above 90% of """""progremmers""""" of the current generation.
