Time for some real talk. Compared to the days of 6hrFL, of course you're not gonna be swimming in buffer by autosnatching. But if you autosnatch from a decent seedbox (basically anything that was in the wiki before,) you'll end with net gain in buffer. (If you don't, try excepting big releases/scene releases from your filters because those will see much more pronounced differences in ratio)

Autodl will still see the quickest gains as far total data moved, but your ratio will not be nearly as clean as if you were to seed 20TB and farm gold. But since GGn rewards pure downloaded data, you might as well autodl at least up until you max the up/download achievements (assuming you have a seedbox.) Goldfarming is shit for ratio maintenance, class advancement, and literally everything except being a statwhore.

It hasn't been an issue for me and I haven't been going out of my way. I listen to 320s not FLACs, so I convert them on my seedbox before downloading them. Since the 320s are already on my seedbox, it takes about two minutes of effort to add a 320 encode for a given album.
