It is easy to learn for someone who is to intelligent to be a full time programmer and simply uses it to supplement his complexer work.

> I put "this" as an argument in every method because the runtime is too dumb to obtain it automatically
>>61509428
The syntax errors make your code not look like shit.
>>61509503
All right anon. You are so insecure about your intellect you have to brag about it on some slavic bottle cap forum.
>>61509535
The runtime isnt "dumb" it just needs to be told very specifically what to do.
easy to learn
easy to use
fastest general purpose development bar none

Brainlet. If you didn't, you could use methods as functions.
>>61509428
It's a great lure for stupid. Keeps those away from the other languages. So.. yeah.. that's good.

let's not forget about h5py and the netCDF4 modules. A godsend to everyone doing science with Python.

I'm sorry about your low IQ.
If you're going to go scripting language, Ruby is better.

this

Wrong way round, bucko.
>>61509428
There is generally a library to do anything you'd want. API consistency is another matter, and documentation can get spotty, but the code is there.
list comprehensions are pretty cool
(fuck the separation between expressions and statements and the mess this causes in lambdas)

Haskell doesn't have this problem.

Java is a pain in the fucking ass to code, bro.
why is everyone on /g/ so obsessed with bringing down other people for no reason
i know this isn't rare for 4chan but cmon guys, you don't gotta outright attack every single post you see that says something you disagree with

>>61509480
You're doing python wrongtry:
print "something nice about it"
catch:
print("something nice about it")
I honestly can't see the point in idolizing a programming language. It's just a tool that you use to build stuff. Just pick something that works for what you're trying to build and be done with it.

Create a static wrapper method if it bothers you so much.
>>61511937
I'd have to create a static wrapper for the whole standard library
>>61511811
I think it's except not catch in Python, isn't it?
>>61509440
rude
>>61511955
Then do it, release it as a new framework and push it onto shithub so other noobs can fork the project and do nothing with it while it sits there shitting up the site even further.

I bet you even do using namespace std;
