Hello, /g/oon. I'm looking at getting a new computer, but I barely know a god-damn thing about hardware.
Is link-related a good buy? Or should I build one myself if it's not too difficult

what exactly is your budget? If you're interested in buying your own rig, then go here https://pcpartpicker.com/builds/.
>>61507485
at least tell us your use case and budget. If you want to build your own, i would recomend >>>/g/pcbg/

£200 budget lads, and useage will be low-CPU stuff like browsing the web and watching videos.
How hard is it to build a PC? I'm hoping the one I linked is good because I don't have the time to spend weeks learning about hardware
>>61507568
Well of course thats good enough. Maybe you can build a custom for a bit less, but it might not be worth the hassle, as first time builds can be a pain in the ass
>>61507568
with that budget you should just get a chromebook
>>61507727
I mean can I get any better for £175? Such as

I assume unbranded on a site like ebay would be the cheapest way to go
>>61507733
Only after a desktop my man, not a fan of laptops
>>61507777
No, that is definitely not better. The first one was much better

If you dont want botnet, this is a good build to start, just downgrade to windows 7 or linux or whatever after. Otherwise its pretty good for your use case
>>61507828
Guess I'll get that one then :^) Is it likely to be PCI-e and support USB 3.0?
>>61507899
Why would it have botnet? I was planning on downgrading to Win7 anyways. I don't want anything too slow though, since this will be my primary computer, so I think that's a little too cheap tbhon

Also,

The main reason I'm getting a new one is my current is old as shit (nearly 7 years) and I was something fresh that will last
>>61507902
I doubt it, Intel core2 duo is a bit of an older chip. I think it uses PCIe gen 1. And USB 2.0 was probably the thing back then
>>61507922
Windows 10 has telemetry no matter what, and all new Intel chips have built in botnet RFID chips, telemetry stuff. Intel core2 duos dont.
>>61507943
If you want something that will last, they are both good, but the first one you suggested would outlive the core2 duo
>>61507986
Cool, thanks.
>all new Intel chips have built in botnet RFID chips
For what purpose?
>>61508072
Can't have you hiding stuff from the police, now can we?
>>61508328
Is that proven true is or this a theory?
