Do you keep all your old programs, scripts and code snippets?

Some, I am pretty sure I have a directort full of code from 2009 forward but I'm also sure I don't have every code and script I've ever written.
m8, I lose track of files that are parts of projects that I'm actively working on
Depends on when I stored it, I still have a ton of old work on my trusty floppies, later CD-ROMs but these days i store them on my home server

Me to, but I don't throw my HDDs out and never formats them, so I don't lose anything.

Just throw them out, it's all stored in pi anyways.
I don't technically lose anything because I've always kept backups and have archives from 2 decades ago, but I don't really know where I'd find a certain thing I wrote x years ago. I'm more of a data hoarder in general really I guess.
school stuff i seem to always forget about and lose, started just tarballing it and keeping them in a dedicated directory.
other script stuff i've made i keep in my bin folder, and since i just started, i have most of it still in there.

Yes
I copy and paste from them a lot

You can't have more than a couple megabytes of pure source code
there are nibbas on 4chan with harddrives full of anime

My condolences on your missed quints.

With versioning, the amount of code can bloat quite a bit.
But yeah, it's not much compared to movies or vidya. I've been programming for 20 years and a complete archive of everything I've made, including UI graphics and all extra stuff, fits on a single DVD.

I'm a better programmer today than I was 1 year ago, my code from 5 years ago might as well be fucking trash and I could re-write it cleaner, better, and faster today.
