I run a small pi server and i get that shit every 30 seconds some chink server trying to ssh me. I geoip filter my connections

China is every-fucking-where. You can't hide from chineses.

Its normal. My website that gets like 25 human visitors a day also gets thousands of bot hits a day and is constantly under attack. Its the background noise of the web.

When I ran a WWW server at home for a while I had to IP block China and Taiwan. Then most of Europe and today it'd be Russia and Central/Eastern Europe as well.
Every day there'd be dozens of spiders all scrambling over the site. A big "piss off!" in ROBOTS.TXT had absolutely no effect, even for legit spiders like Google.
Finally I routed any request without a URL (IE IP only) to a goatse. Made me feel better if nothing else.
The site was simply my pics of my new house and from a few vacations.
