Actually it's not as bad, C++ "macros" are very basic, they are just text replacement macros. It's an insult to call it a macro. Whereas Rust has real macros.

Wow, C++ has this exact same issue. You would think that the Rust devs would have made some different design choices to avoid that particular quirk and things like it.
