just tested both (mint cinnamon first and then xfce) and cinammon was laggy. i'm finding xfce to be more snappy than lubuntu honestly

xfce is god tier when it comes to GUIs. If KDE wasn't a slow buggy piece of shit I'd probably use it though.

It all depends on what you want really. I said that because with nvidia you still get better performance if you use proprietary shit.

I mean if you're happy with XFCE who am I to say shit about it. But KDE has more modern stuff and things like KDE connect.
