You're probably right. Python is definitely overrated. Inconsistent as fuck API, shitty standard library, slowest fucking language around, dynamic typing, strict adherence to imperative/OOP garbage, fractured 2 to 3 ecosystem for no real reason.

It's a good language for non-programmers to use to get things done, but if you're an actual paid programmer then using python should make you feel ashamed.

It is a good beginners language and a good duck tape solution to things. I started at java and I wish I started at python.

It's great for beginners, at least this is in my experience since that's what I'm learning now. Other languages you have to learn tons of stuff before you get to do anything practical.
