Without having read this book, I'd still recommend it to people interested in C++ and OOP. Mr. Stroustrup is much like a friendly Professor on a top university, with the difference that listening to him is actually interesting. His other book, The C++ programming language, is more a discussion on language design then a primer which makes it an invaluable read whether you plan on writing C++ or not.
