I'm due for an upgrade
What's the best gaming notebook(I know) for under $1000? Basically best performance the money can get. I'd get a desktop but I move around a lot so it's inconvenient for me.

If you want to buy a MacBook I recommend the 15in MacBook Pro. It's got AMD Radeon Pro 560 graphics card with 4GB VRAM, which should enable it to provide the best performance out of all of the MacBooks available, even beating some Mac desktops. Unfortunately, it's the most expensive MacBook.
However, even the Intel graphics in the 13in MacBook Pro models could be sufficient for your gaming needs. The Intel HD Graphics 640 in the 13in model should be plenty fast enough for many of today's games, though don't expect to use the highest quality settings.

Run down to your local electronics store, and ask for the cheapest PC possible. Should be able to run any game on any setting your heart desires.
Thank me later.
(Don't actually do this, just man up and custom spec a rig, can get a pretty decent one for that budget)
