MacOS was the first to get it right. And it's way better than either Linux or Windows when it comes to high PPI scaling. You'll never run into a window that has small UI elements, no matter how outdated the software is.

you don't really need to put everything on ultra. the ideal way to play in 4K is get a g-sync monitor, turn off AA and the least important graphics settings, and maintain 45 to 60 frames per second
