C or C++?
Best avaliable tools?
Good newsletter sites?
Pajeet free area?
>>

>C or C++?
Depends on a bunch of factors. Is the entire standard library available? Is it running an OS? What is the ROM size?

>Best avaliable tools?
Depends on the architecture.

>Good newsletter sites?
Depends on the field.

>Pajeet free area?
No, and it's also usually a lot less paid.
>>
>>61396559
Best languages to avoid getting outsourced to pajeets/chinks?
>>
>>61396152
C, shitty salary in compare to java/c#, ide's like its 1998 again, usually its not possible to reuse code in further project because projects are specific. from time to time you will have to use debug on hardware level so basic shit like oscillator and electronic knowledge is must have.
>>
>>61396559
>>61396613

That's really sad how something far more advanced, important and that less people are capable of, pays less, it almost doesn't make sense.
>>
>>61396677
It's quite simple: there is less demand.
>>
>>61396152
>C or C++
C, there are more supported platforms and embedded C++ looks like C anyways.
>>
>>61396677
> supply
> demand
Theres a lot more demand out there for websites and apps than embedded systems.
>>
>>61396704

> there is less demand.

This will change.
Automation is coming.
>>
>>61396576
Lawyer speak (go to lawschool) or business school.

>>61396677
Far less demand.
>>
>>61396768
You're forgetting that even microcontrollers can be programmed in JavaScript these days, and anyone and their grandmother can stitch together some device prototype using some generic IoT framework. The need for low-level programming is declining.
>>
>>61396717
>embedded C++
Objectively the best form of C++.
>>
>>61396808
The fact that the number of low-level jobs is going to drop in the coming years makes me quite sad. Though languages like rust sort of have a good compromise between low-level control and high-level abstractions, so maybe there is hope for low-level jobs
>>
>>61396152
>Pajeet free area?
Work any where that requires a security clearance
>>
>>61396852
Rust is part of the problem, it's killing the need for dedicated embedded programmers. Now you can hire a high-level programmer and he can do occasional low-level shit with the same language.
>>
>>61396808

> meme IoT platforms
> javascript powered mC

> real embedded programming
>>
>>61396768
As an embedded engineer for an automation company, I can tell you that you are wrong.
>>
>>61396889
It doesn't matter what you think is real or not, the thing is that it's already happening. Every new devkit released has some form of high-level SDK to program it.

Also, microcontrollers are abbreviated to uC or µC (as in "micro"), not mC (as in "milli") you fucking pleb.
