Doesn't really matter.
But with debian you'll get support for 5 years, 10 years for centos.
Debian is more of a general purpose system, used mostly by ordinary desktop users, while CentOS is aimed specifically at servers
Any Pro or Cons?

Centos is pretty shit if you ever need anything other than web server on it.
Doesn't even have openvpn in it's repos, you have to pull it off from fedora repos
Debian has official ZFS packages now. If your application is storing important data on disk and you have at least 8GB RAM, Debian with ZFS is the clear winner.
Install Debian, for CentOS is botnet.

The entire vfx industry has migrated to CentOS desktops and RHEL servers.
They require more heavy processing than any other industry. That should be proof enough.
Debian has much better support from open source devs (because CentOS/RHEL gets pretty ancient pretty fast) and has much bigger repos. CentOS/RHEL is big with the commercial guys (e.g. Oracle), FIPS-compliant by default (important if you do gov't work), ships with SELinux right out of the box and has twice as many years of security fixes as Debian releases.

Do you have a source for this? I'd like to read up on doing vfx on Linux.

I have been working in the vfx industry for 16 years. What do you want to know?

not that anon, but tell us about your vfx setup at work.

Mostly i7s + Quadros in varying flavors. Renderfarm is a bunch of blades.
Color critical guys get a HP dreamcolor. Everyone has a choice of mouse or wacom.

What applications? Does choice of DE exist or is it all GNOME?

Gnome always.
Maya for modelers, animators
Nuke for compositing

Definitely not ShitOS. Any respectable cracker has 2 pocketfuls of exploits for it, half being exclusive.
