KDE is bloated garbage.
Unity is unity.

Its a gamble between xfce and gnome and some other literal who's. Personally I like the feel of gnome over xfce.

Because some of the libraries etc are certified for the software(s) they use. There are lot of, for example, professional 3d animation software which makers do not offer any support unless the operating system is what want it to be. This includes also the windowing system. For some reason they like Gnome more than for example KDE or anything else. I don't know why...
>>
>>61375912
I mean big companies who make the software do not offer any support for client who pays literally millions to buy their software. Not talking about single hobbyist...
>>
>>61373243
You define KDE bloated, I found Gnome more than KDE, at least on KDE you can disable the bloat, good luck shutting down the calendar thing. Don't get me wrong, I don't support KDE, but come on, they're bot awfully bloated.
