Is there a more useless piece of tech than this?
A "dumb" TV plus a Roku/Fire/Chromecast does what these do but a trillion times better, and it's also cheaper.

as long as TVs don't go up in price because of this bull shit, I really couldn't care less.
and from what I've seen, these fagOS's haven't affected price in any notable way.

pretty much any set you buy these days has this shit anyway so its not like you really have a cheaper non smart option anymore

what if your refrigerator automatically connects to FBI Surveillance Van #3's wifi network?

This can only be done if they have physical access. The exploit is achieved by covertly plugging in a malicious USB stick. And you're pretty much fucked if they have physical access to literally anything inside your house, so the point is moot. They can't pwn your TV wirelessly or remotely like you're insinuating, from what the leaks tells us at least.

All of my 'smart' functions haven't been updated in a year, so all of my video feeds are broken and won't load. I'd rather get a shitty pc and just use it to watch shit online with adblock anyway.
