Okay. No, vinyl rips are not higher quality. Yes, webflacs directly mastered in 24bit are higher quality than normal CDs. There are ways to analyze and "validate" them. Transcodes are still easily spotted. They are still trumpable for all the reasons other than non-100% log. Some people autosnatch them including me, but fewer than regular 16bit, so it's hardly a good buffer source. I'd avoid unless you have an ssd box.

If you don't live in a region that has access to an Overdrive library you probably should worry about more than getting on a tracker. Like why you live in India.

Bib is possible. Unlike redacted they're cabal but their smaller user base means that if BTN does a recruitment drive and want it to be big, Bib is possible but unlikely.

There are only 350 Elite users on Bib of its lifetime 33,000 and current time 7000 users and power user requires 100 uploads or 10 and a ton of upload data - both of which are way harder to get than even Power User on something like RED. It's certainly possible though.

If you're in Bib already you should level up anyway to get into HDB before the recruiter closes the one reasonable path left into HDB. HDB is above the cabal and will almost certainly have recruitment for BTN when they open up.

I'm spaghetti, one of two sysops on Oppaitime, a tracker for asian porn that's been going for a bit over a year.
In this time, I've become much more intimately familiar with the inner workings of Gazelle than I'd like, and have had plenty of interactions and conversations with developers from other trackers. These things have made something abundantly clear to me, and that's that almost every tracker either has little to no concern for the security and privacy of its users, or isn't aware that they aren't being protected.
Gazelle has a myriad of issues, and most trackers try to fix the ones that personally cause them problems. But the amount of relatively benign Gazelle flaws that are still clearly present in many trackers to someone looking for them makes me fear that many of the internal security concerns that have yet to cause visible problems aren't being fixed either.
Too much user information is being logged. Not enough communications and stored data are being properly encrypted. Technical infrastructure like backups are poor or non-existent on some trackers. User activity is being leaked to sites that absolutely should not have that kind of information. Tons of small security improvements or new technologies that take little effort to enable aren't being enabled, and that says a lot about the value that staff places on security. Most of this is verifiable by any user, and some is assumption based on other trends. I don't want to muddle up this post with technical details, but I've created short write-ups about some particular problems in the past and have talked at length with people about them. I can explain some of them in other posts, but they aren't really the point of this one.
So before I make my request to trackeLet staff know that you really care about this, and encourage them to put additional time and effort into it. Most of them will assume they are already doing enough if they don't hear otherwise from you.
