But I'm going to put Linux on it

i bought the regular laptop version, I have to say its pretty comfy, the things about the keyboard are true, quiet and tactile, yet feel great. the screen is good too. only bummer is that you got it for 3x the price i got mine at. otherwise, pretty great linux machine

I would probably buy one if they had the number pad. No Number Pad = No Buy from me.
>>61351013
why though anon? the keyboard is compact enough to make sure your fingers can hit the top row at ease.

Because I prefer the number pad. It's a real sticking point to me. I was never trained at typing, and taught myself. And, when teaching myself, I trained myself to use a number pad. It's what I like, and what I want.

nice, you could always buy an usb numberpad, but i guess it just isn't the same.
>>61350808
Perhaps you should read the listing before buying it says screen dead, spares or repair so yeah pretty fucked!

I really wish it was. Then, I wouldn't be limited in the kinds of laptops I could buy. You'd be surprised how hard it is to find a good laptop with a numberpad included.
PCs, obviously, are immaterial. Plenty of mechanical keyboards come with number pads.

I highly recommend a bluetooth numpad. I bought one just for roguelikes and it works pretty well
>>61351078
Number pads suddenly hip again?
>>61351105
I've tried standalone. It's not the same as being a part of the keyboard.
>>61351117
Looking at most laptops, I sincerely doubt it. It's just what I've always liked.

Enjoy buying a new battery for $40, other than that, the price is ok I guess
>>61350808
Add SSD, RAM, libreboot it and install Trisquel, good stuff.

you bought the wrong one
