Maybe in major cities. Just like literally every other country.

In non metro areas youd be hard pressed to find over 12 mbps in most of the world.

I live in rural Western NC and 6 mbps DSL is considered very good if you can get it. If you live in the in/around town you might be able to get cable that does 108 mbps but gets crippled and overloaded around 9 pm.

Its all about geographic location, they arnt running fiber to towns of only a few thousand. You take what you can get.

Has to do with economic stacking. Everything in Australia is extremely expensive and under performing, because the economy consists of a series of well organised scams.

People (Australians) get paid a lot for pulling these scams which are not just tolerated but institutionalised and encouraged. But then these same people get scammed out of their ill-gotten gains through scams in other areas, like housing, or water rates, or taxation (the biggest scam). Comes with the prison mentality.
