I was looking for something better for gaming because the FX is just trash lol but I want to switch to Intel too mainly because I've realize that and Octacore doesn't mean shit in gaming world lol so I'm going intel and I have a good cooler for Intel CPU anyways. But I intend to spend like 300-400 on getting a new cpu and motherboard (Currently have DDR3 Ram still at 8gb)

It's a good deal if you win the silicon lottery, but if you lose you absolutely need to delid to keep temps within Intel's own recommended safe temperature range even with no oc and light load. I wouldn't trust myself to pry the lid off a cpu to save $70, but I think I'm pretty risk averse. If you're comfortable doing that stuff go for it.
