Okay, so I mentioned a few threads ago how I bought a no-name pair of "3in1 stereo music headphones" and even made a short review regarding them and how they were quite decent (but not really stellar), especially for the price of 10$.
Here is a link to my post:
https://warosu.org/g/thread/S60656118#p60660471

My model is pretty much identical to this one: https://ru.aliexpress.com/item/3in1Headphones/32811722476.html

A quick feature rundown:
- Can be used as detachable 3.5" wired headphones - self-explanatory. The sound quality is great, but the quality of the m-jack port itself is shit. I don't know if it's specific to my personal case, but the jack often moves around in the slot and loses one of the channels. If this
- Can be used as Bluetooth headphones. Supports A2DP, doesn't support aptX - therefore, it's shit. Loses a bunch of bitrate when downconverted for Bluetooth transmission.
- Can be used as miniUSB headphones (i.e. a soundcard device). WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND, the sound quality is fucking amazing, especially for 10$ price. Works perfectly. The miniUSB connection can also be used to access the microSD card (see below).
- Can be used as portable player. Since there was no manual, I had to resort to personal testing, so the list of codecs isn't conclusive. It decodes MP3 320, OGG Vorbis, WMA, WAV and FLAC flawlessly, but it's incapable of decoding AAC. The player functions are as basic as they get - you can use Play/Pause/Prev/Next, you can change volume. That's it - no fast-forwarding or other shit. The built-in MP3 player has no EQ, and thus you are stuck with its all-rounder preset (which is actually really good, no nigger bass or piercing trebles, but I know some people don't like nigger bass.) The order of the songs is determined purely via filetree structure in order of "date created".
- Can be used as FM Radio. It works fine, but I didn't test it extensively, so can't say a lot.
>>
>>61325943
>Tfw You'll never look that cool
>>
>>61325943
After about a month of using them, I'm suprisingly satisfied with them.
There is a sharp quality difference between listening music from YouTube and MP3 320 (which is my go-to "into the trash it goes" test for headphones), and there is even a noticeable difference between listening MP3 320 and FLAC in some cases. I don't really have any objective numbers to back up my claims, because I'm a poorfag, and thus, have nothing to test it with.
It also had no trouble playing back some of the heavier FLAC files I have.

In any case, the real purpose of my post isn't to say "buy these headphones", but rather something else.

I did some quick research and, apparently, the headphones are based on JieLi AC46 DAC/chipset that is common in portable chink Bluetooth speakers.
After a bit more research, I found out that some models based on said chipset apparently use standard old easily replaceable Nokia Li-ion batteries and some models even have built-in LCD displays.
Example: https://ru.aliexpress.com/item/LCDBatteryHeadphones/32743155666.html

The point of my post is that there must be a headphones model based on this (or a similar) chipset that combines the best of all worlds.
The search term for headphones like this on Ali is "tf headphones".
If you are going to be ordering headphones such as this on Ali, please share the name of your model, features it has, your personal experience etc.
I'm saying this because having something that can
>be used as wired 3.5" headphones
>be used as wired miniUSB headphones
>be used as Bluetooth headphones
>be used as basic portable SD card player with support for most popular codecs
>be used as FM radio
AND has great sound quality, all for 10$-15$ is absolutely insane.
Basically, I want to find the best headphones that have these features combined AND more (replaceable battery is pretty fucking cool feature, for instance).

There are specific cases when downconversion from FLAC to MP3 320 introduces more-than-usual noise on high frequencies due to how harmonic series work.
It's not unfeasible for him to notice the noise, he just has to be listening to some pretty weird shit.

Anyone know of some good headphones with hooks for the ears so they don't pop out? I work construction, regular headphones won't cut it. My current ones have gone through the washing machine a few too many times and have a buzz at high volumes. Bassy-er the better!

Not him but I have some shitty Green Day YouTube rips from like 2007 that sound noticably worse than the same songs in a more quality format. It's hard to describe but the shitty copies have a sort of static sound to them, of course back then I had a basic low-end mp3 player with cheap ass ear buds, it was only later when I had better quality stuff that I noticed how bad those copies are.

I got this Switch Joycon charging grip today
Feels pretty official actually, it's solid and has a rubbery texture to it
Not only is it $20 less than the official charger, it actually has a battery in it so the controllers last longer
Only problem is that they're advertised as USB C like the official charger, but it's actually Micro USB
>>
>>61329136
Just get the KZ ATE S and a headphone case for them
You wont pay much for it and they wont fall apart that easily.
The ZS5 arent worth it atm imo, they are just much more expensive than the ATE and sound similar, some even say the ATEs are superior.

Amazingly. I got the keyboard today. I told you I was skeptical, it was valid to feel that, it's NOT a mechanical keyboard. Which the product page did say.

It does feel a bit nicer than a 'great value' like keyboard, and have some LED lighting for it, but to say it's worth NZD$23, along with lying about the mechanical feature, I hope you fucking rot seller.

However, the refund is all but guaranteed, so this is a free keyboard. I will use the refund to buy something proper.

Please give some suggestions to a mechanical keyboard, thank you.
>>
>>61329211
Get a partial refund and claim then. If they're held accountable for their fault they will either deliver on what they say in future or less false advertising. Win win and you get some money back improving the system.

I know what you meant, the mp3 only keeps the "essential" of higher frequencies, but sometimes it fucks the process, and keeps only artifacts, if isolated those artifacts sounds like bells, plus mp3 is kinda more "condensate" (I don't know how to explain that) than a lossless copy of the same.

Redmeme 4 finally arrived from goybest, now I have to wait for the case I ordered on Aliexpress. The phone came with a chink to euro plug adapter and the proper global rom installed. Everything else is in chink.

All in all, the phone seems nice so far and it's definitely an upgrade over my old htc desire hd from 2010. Gonna pick up a sim for it later today. My old one's too large, and too old to be cut down to micro sim. The only complaint I have is that miui global doesn't allow you to uninstall the google bloatware it comes with. Having the playstore preinstalled should be enough to be honest. Other bloat like facebook is removable.

>You are actually supposed to check the package and the contents before accepting it from the postman
AHAHAHAHAHA. Who the fuck has time for that. The postman sure fucking doesn't. It's not true for where I live anyway. You can refuse it if it's visibly damaged (and ofc for any other reason as well), but you probably shouldn't unless you bought it locally. You'll probably chink yourself by doing it with a chink package.
>>
>>61335584
only if the package has this option payed.
If you dont accept it you cant open it.
>>
>>61324271
There are also batteries that claim to have over-discharge protection but don't have the circuit. Ultrafire is notorious for doing this (as well as using recycled laptop batteries).

A good rule of thumb for buying 18650s is if the advertised capacity is OVER 3500mAh, it's guaranteed to be fake and you'll be lucky if you get 1500mAh from one of those batteries (most are under 1000). 3500mAh is the maximum legit capacity any 18650 battery can have, until a fundamental breakthrough in battery technology happens.

Actually it'd be pretty weird for geekbuying to directly lie about it.
Those phones do exist, it's not like only blacks are produces.
I'd wait for a price drop though, sooner or later they'll sort out their stock problems and prices should become reasonable.
>>
>>61335722
I guess. Considering I'm a seanigger, I'm fine with waiting as I don't have too many options for buying chinkphones from overseas. I'm under no rush to upgrade, my Redmeme N3P is a couple years old but still fine as long as I don't drop it too hard. Hopefully the sharp phone or the Redmeme N5 comes out soon so I can make better decisions though

probably not, depends on how hard you punch the keys
it is louder than membrane keyboard, still not as loud as blue switches that click
you can also make it quieter by putting those silencer rings on keycaps
>>
>>61335200
It's legit, but they do lie about items in stock and shipping times, so you'll end up waiting quite a bit until they actually restock.
>>
>>61336120

the resistance of skin depends on a lot of factors so while 'normal' voltages of up to about 250v might not be fatal in normal conditions, namely you have dry hands with thick calloused skin, once you start getting past 600v that high of a voltage can cause dielectric breakdown of skin which reduces the resistance massively

so while, generally speaking, it's not the voltage that kills you but the amps, you'd have to be fucking retarded to think you can get away with grabbing onto a high voltage line
>>
>>61336224

Is buying basic electronic components from the chinks a good or bad idea?

I've want to learn more about basic electronics so I was thinking of buying some simple stuff like LED's, resistors, battery holders, that kind of stuff and play around a bit. Seems you can get quite a bit of DIY fun for only a few bucks so I thought it might be worth learning more about.

>>61336902
Fairly certain e-ink tech is patented and locked down fairly tight which would explain why it never caught on much with the chinks. At least that's what someone on here told me when I asked the same question.

DIY components are perfectly fine. You should probably test them before using them in anything critical, and they aren't going to be to a very tight standard, but they'll be fine for DIY hobbyist use.
It's just going to be excess components that they made for someone else that they're flogging.
