I molest IT
hardware wise i put the monitor as the lowest brightness
if the screen isnt a tn panel or matte (for instance a reflective IPS) i apply a polarized filter
if thats still too bright i apply software filter via redshift
i also use gray backrounds on all of my themes and browser
all of the pages in my browser are gray and not white
i also increased the font size so my eyes dont focus as much(this makes the pupil absorb more photons)
