Can someone tell me what CMS they use to make websites and what the pros and cons are?
EVERYONE USES WORDPRESS but how garbage is it? and is there a chance to redeem it? How complex is drupal? does it require a lot of knowledge about programming to make it work?
how flexible is joomla? can i make business sites with it? or does it simply only pertain to commerce and social sites?

Not worse than Drupal and especially Joomla. At least it comes with an autoupdater.

They're pretty much all the same thing. If you don't know how to use HTML/CSS/JS/PHP/SQL then use Wordpress since there's plugins for literally everything. If you're somewhat familiar with those things (or want to learn and practice at the same time), then try Drupal.
Joomla I haven't tried just because the name and logo rubs me the wrong way.
It depends on what your client wants on the website. For most people, you can just throw up a slider and call it a day and you can do that with any CMS. Outside of the PHP-based CMSes there's Node and Django-based ones that are worth checking out, if only for their meme magic.
It only seems hard until you've done it. Good luck, anon!
