it's literally nothing. it's just a way for amazon to get rid of excess stock from third party sellers that have been sitting for months.

i'm sure there is, but careful, a lot of sellers prepped for prime day by only sending limited stock to amazon's warehouses so that they can get a nice shiny ~prime~ badge by their item, but in reality they are still going to send you stuff that's sitting in their own dusty Chinese warehouse with the cheapest possible shipping.

A botnet is a number of Internet-connected devices, each of which is running one or more bots. Botnets can be used to perform distributed denial-of-service attack (DDoS attack), steal data,[citation needed] send spam, and allow the attacker access to the device and its connection. The owner can control the botnet using command and control (C&C) software.[1] The word "botnet" is a combination of the words "robot" and "network". The term is usually used with a negative or malicious connotation.

I would rather get this Toshiba for a little bit more. I prefer my TV to have built in Chromecast over Amazon's bloated FireOS. If the element TV's hardware has similar specs to a fire TV stick, expect it to get almost unbarebly slow after two years.
I would rather just but a separate fire TV stick and replace it after it gets slow turn be stuck with it in the TV.
But really, you should wait till black Friday before you buy any TVs. You will find deals way better than what's available right now.

Saying it's not OLED is a fine answer. You have no excuse to buy an LED TV when a 65" LG B6 is new on Amazon for $2,999. A Q9 isn't even backlit, its a $5,999 edgelit TV. Samsung is promising an 'infinite array' contrast system but in reality your Q9 will be double edgelit, even though its thicker than any TV on the market.
Don't ever buy a Samsung unless you're on a budget. If you're going to get an LED buy a Sony 65" X900E for $1,999.
Any worthwhile deals on mouses today? I'm thinking about getting this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01B4SNL52/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

>>61315434
HDR isn't just about how bright a TV can get either, it's based more on contrast, and the B6 is still the better TV because the difference between what is dark and what is light is so high despite the fact that it can only hit around 540 nits. If you've ever seen a Q9 it's dark as fuck because its built to compete with OLED's black, but as a result it can't get bright. LED TVs go to insane nit levels to artificially create contrast, but they still have to dim themselves when any kind of darkness is on the screen because it's a limit of the technology. OLED doesn't have that limit.
Samsung is the biggest fucking meme on Earth, it's fucking called 'QLED'. If you want to play your game faggotry there are infinitely better TVs for cheaper.
>>61315716
That's a good deal. Even on TP link models, you can expect to spend another 25 bucks for that kind of router.

I keep looking at new TVs, but there's nothing that matches what I want: a 1080p, 120hz, HDR, "dumb" TV, that's 45-55 inches. I can't even get close.
>>61315786
You won't find a dumb TV anymore, not even the chinkshit TV's are basic these days. I think HDR is almost exclusively for 4K TV's since they kind of debuted around the same timeframe.
>>61315871
They put them in 4k almost exclusively (I heard Sony is gonna make some 1080p HDR screens at some point, which will be the first exception) because they want people to look at the 1080 screens, and the 4k screens, and see a difference. And most people just won't see enough of a difference to justify the price increase (and won't see any difference once they get it home, unless they sit really close or get a huge fucking screen).

>there is nothing 23andMe can do with my DNA that I wouldn't think is badass
How about selling your DNA to advertisers so they an use it to determine various likely physical and mental aspects about your yourself and then sell you products based on those things?
Oh you're short? Suddenly getting ads for shoes that make you look taller.
You have a predisposition to rash actions, so now your advertisements are flashier and encourage you to buy immediately more often.
Wow look at all those additional penis enlargement ads you're getting now
>>61320916
Can't make a fucking sense out of their model names, but this might be their 7000 line.
I have the X8300E, it's good overall, the panel switched to ips from last year's va so worse contrast, but still good.
There is no real HDR. Panel refresh rate is 100hz.
It runs Android TV but the hardware sucks and most apps run in FHD, not 4K.
They promise 7.1 update in May. Still no where to be seen.
>>61321016
Sounds like fuck it and wait until the next version. Thanks anon, I don't want some shitty product just because it's £200 off.

Last person that told me this hadn't even looked and I found one in less than a min. As long as you live in near a major metropolitan area you should be able to find something decent if not a Steelcase. It's very easy to set search alerts on CL as well.
>>61321044
What? Give them a fake DNA sample? Then why bother giving them anything at all?

No, give them a fake name, birthday, etc. You can opt out of their database as well.

The performance increase over an HDD is roughly the same as a SSD for significantly less.
>>61316505
they also had the asus prime b350 MB for $74, it's pretty decent, I have it on my Ryzen build.

Truth.
The best thing was the 20% off all warehouse deals, but now they put in "on limited items" so that's off the table.

Don't even kid yourself. It's barely faster than standard PMR drives. It's Seagate's shitty SMR drives with a huge cache.
My old laptop is pretty fucked up and I am thinking about a new one. which one should I get /g/ ? pic related seems good for the price I guess. Have also been thinking about getting a used MBP for like 1000€ but I am not sure if I wanna drop that kind of money on a used notebook. So I might just get something cheap and put Linux on it.
>>61321736
Should I return it? What's the best SSHD out there for my money?
>>61321758
If you're going to spend that kind of money, get a used w520 or w530 with a FHD screen. It'll probably be cheaper. IdeaPad is Lelnovo's consumer-grade trash.
>>61321875
It's fine for the price and the only fast 2TB 2.5" now that the Samsung M9T is discontinued. Just don't fall for whatever bullshit that says it's comparable to an SSD.
>>61321917
The few benchmarks I've seen suggest that there's only a 2-5 second difference on loading times between an SSHD and an SSD. This is for my Xbox.

>>61322009
Snowball is a meme, but it's definitely a good starting mic. For the average user the quality is way better than a shitty 5 dollar microphone and you can easily use it for years without being bothered by a lack of sound quality. If you plan on doing anything with your mic beyond just voice chat though, then you'll want to get something higher quality.
I haven't seen any deals on AT stuff though.
