When will bitcoin finally crash to the point where its worthless?
>>
>>61306373
when everyone will store it in banks and privacy concept will die
>>
It's already worthless outside of the autistic community that accepts it as a currency
>>
When you cannot transfer it into real money. Hopefully when governments clamp down on it.
>>
Never. Its a legit currency right now. What you are asking is whether its scope can be limited, which is totally possible. Regardless, it will live on dark markets.
>>
>>61306373
Can you go and buy a gallon of milk with BTC? No? Then it's already worthless and you just fell for the meme.
>>
>>61306373
Government should make it illegal since it devalues the real currency

/g/ has been overrun by /pol/
>>
everyone likes it. what point are you trying to even have made
>>
>>61307512
I actually can at most grocery stores. Hopefully they will let me pay directly in bitcoin eventually.
>>
>>61308211
>i can
>but they don't let me pay directly
How do you do it then? You can't.
>>
>>61308211
The transaction fee is so high why would you? My USD actually makes me 6% since I use a rewards card.
>>
>>61308153
>/g/ has been overrun by /pol/
Isn't it ironic that the supposed free thinkers over at /pol/ are the number one cause of dumb authoritarian shitposting on this website?
>>
>>61308381
I have a 0% fee.
>>
>>61308470
Free speech argument is so tired. Who's free speech? Who's free speech!?
>>
>>61306373
something worse can happen: a "frisbee on the roof" scenario where the price stays at [whatever number, could be high, who cares], but trade volume dies because no new actual real life dollars are fed into the exchanges and no one outside of the speculative bubble actually gives a shit about bitcoin

>can happen
It's pretty much the reality right now, a giant circle jerk boom.
>>
>>61306373
I only wish for miners to stop fuckin depleting GPU stock and normal competitive prices can be achieved again... fuck that unironically
>>
>>61306373
Well the point of cryptocurrency is that it's not worthless (unlike fiat currency aka all modern currency). It takes energy to produce, and there is a hard limit on how much can be in circulation. Bitcoin was the first big one and because of that it's the household name, the rest of cryptos are just generics.

>>61309026
It's just as worthless as fiat currency. You can't eat it, you can't build stuff out of it. It's only worth as much as the circlejerking miners and speculators value it at.
>>
>>61309026
Is Warcraft gold money now? I thought so.
>>
>>61308565
I am.

>fiat worthless
>bought goods & services with fiat today

>bitcoin not worthless
>1.5hrs drive away from the closest place (shitty restaurant) that accepted bitcoin 3 years ago, gave up 4 months later because it was too much of a hassle vs fiat
>is a fucking grownup that doesn't buy drugs or child porn off the internet
>>
The day AMD and NVIDIA come clean and reveal to the world that they are Satoshi Nakomoto and cryptocurrencies were invented by them to increase their stock prices.
>>
>>61309067
Do you understand what a fiat currency is? The government's print it without regulation, there is a continuous stream of more money coming into our economies, this doesn't happen with cryptocurrency.

>>61309097
No? And Blizzard could easily create billions of warcraft gold and nobody but them would know. Can't do this with cryptocurrency.
>>
>>61306373
i honestly think never, it will always parasite some ther "new" coin and resurface, when it comes to 21,000,000 maybe then, because, it is basically pyramid scheme, and as long people send/recieve bitcoins miners will mine, bitcoin will stay relevant.
Kinda catch 22 or maybe better carrot and stick .
At the end, there will be few uber whales(who hold +90%) and their job will be to tacticaly sprinkle/inject little money here and there to keep it relevant

There is one hugeee problem with every cripto, you cant into minus and credits.
>>
>>61308171
>everyone in my discord likes it
what a fucking loser. i will bet you my left testicle you can't count 10 persons you met and talked to that love bitcoin. hell, make it to 10 persons you ever met and talked to period. count your mom if you want. you fucking aspie retard that lives in a bubble.
>>
>>61309067
All currency is imaginary, you dip. Even gold backed money is worthless because gold is just a rock.
>>
>>61309544
are you ok
>>
>>61308153
Fuck off you brainless cunt, BTC has been co-opted by the Chinese mafia, it doesn't stand for what it originally did and hasn't for YEARS. It is a criminally maintained and owned faux-pyramid scheme meant to dupe idiotic middle class men out of their savings.
>>
>>61306587
Yeah, fucking autistic Newegg, valve, and my local restaurants, coffee shops, and corner stores.
>>
>>61309869
˙ ͜>˙
>>
>>61309544
This guy's right
Cryptocoins are interesting but since its not government backed it won't be actual viable currency
It's just a "trend"
It came out of nowhere, the only worth is based on the assumption that others will use it

Yes just like cash itself but cash has government backing even if its a fiat currency
>>
>>61309833
>a-are y-y-you ok h-hehe
fucking loser
>>
>>61306373
Bitcoins are not worthless, literally thousands of hours of electrical energy go into the production of a bitcoin
>>
>>61309958
Of course not, but they're incredibly unstable financially
It's a big risk, and such a big risk as you can see pays off - the most value they have is for market players that get mad money just from trading them. Most people into bitcoins right now just tend to buy and sell, very few will actually hold onto them and purchase goods...except for like some poster has said, illegal goods online.
It's chaotic currency that has huge value margins
>>
>>61310057
the true value of the coin is shaky but it will never bottom out due to the energy that has been invested in creating them as is
>>
Should I be farming Ether or something? I heard it's the big thing now.
>>
>>61310233
You should have been farming it like 1-2 months ago when it was worth like 500% less or whatever it was. These things are rarely worth investing in once the bubble has formed.
>>
>>61310259
Yeah that's what I guessed. Oh well.
Any idea what could be worth doing?
>>
Watch the keiser report on rt, also do you think gold and silver are worthless despite billions in India and China using it? Btc will go up and down but will stay
>>
>>61309869
nice try scholomo, but no, i won't sell what i have yet. stop FUDing
>>
>>61310113
It's tough to call, the true value leans heavily on what the miners themselves try to keep it as
Anyone who holds the coin but hasn't mined it won't care so much about the energy needed to make them

I agree that it will never bottom out, interesting to see how it ends (if it ever does) though
>>
>>61309132
>muh bitcoin is for CP and drugs
several major companies accept bitcoin payment nowadays including but not limited to Valve, Microsoft, Dell, etc.
>>
>>61310280
A lot of people are using their hardware to mine less well known currencies hoping they'll be able to hype them up to ETH/BTC levels of inflation. /biz/ is trash but they did seem to predict the rise of ETH rather well, I'd say go there and look for their dedicated crypto shitting thread and have a lurk, might be something new worth mining.

I'd do the same but I've never bought into the idea, even when BTC was new, I simply couldn't bring myself to ignore the glaring faults/dangers of investing in crypto.
>>
>>61309869
Do you seriously believe the bullshit spewing from your mouth?
>>
>retarded /v/ babbies on /g/ whining about people using their vidyagayming cards for making money
Relax faggots, difficulty keeps increasing soon enough you'll be able to buy all those used cards at 250% of the original launch value due to fucked up supply
>>
>>61310392
ill just use real money for buying stuff from those companies. they'll be happy to take it
>>
>>61310455
>i will use real money
read into the definition of money.
>>
>>61310482
>Money is any item or verifiable record that is generally accepted as payment for goods and services and repayment of debts in a particular country or socio-economic context.

>socio-economic context
right there is the reason why bitcoin is a shitty form of money. most people aren't paid in it, most businesses don't accept it, every other form of payment is easier and faster than it
>>
>>61309900
