Yo guys. I have sort of a technical question:

My iPhone6s was one of the serial number lines which had battery failiure. I got the battery replaced for free at the apple store.
on the 4th of july, my phone's lifeproof case decided to not work. The battery was boiling fucking hot, and im pretty sure it exploded. The phone wasnt turning on. I brought it to the apple store, and explained what happened, MINUS the battery replacement part. They told me i had to buy a new phone.
Would coming back, and explaining the battery thing, and it's potential contribution to the death of my phone help me?
