I took my Herbstick Eco apart. I've talked about it before. I really wouldn't recommend buying this one unless you're OK with breathing fumes from the yellow tape.
It looks like they attempted to seal the air path with those silicone seals, but failed. I think it leaks where the plastic halves come together, but I didn't really examine it thoroughly.

I wouldn't recommend this, but one of my friends uses one of these to plug his electric guitar into his computer.
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Vention-New-1pcs-Gold-3-5mm-Male-to-6-35mm-Female-Audio-Adapter-Jack-Stereo-Converter/32673961489.html
I don't own one, and I haven't actually tried recording with it, but it works fine for playing rocksmith.
Ideally, you should get your brother some cheap audio interface and kill a few birds with one stone. An audio interface will allow him to plug his electric guitar into the computer without any special cables, and will also provide phantom power for a microphone if he wants to record acoustic. A decent cheap interface that I can recommend is a Behringer UM2, which sells for $30 new on amazon and eBay, but if you have the patience, you can get a better deal on used gear on eBay since many musicians don't make the best life choices.
>>
>>61274707

I want a cheap one that's decent or at least not complete shit. Otherwise I wouldn't have asked in /csg/. I'm not playing enough to justify spending 20 bucks or more on a game pad.

The cheapest you can go is with the Behringer Xenyx302 USB, it's ok if your brother has a decent equipment.

Ever wonder if bringing up how an external chat server is being run as if it matters at all to 4chan might be off-topic and that's why you're having your posts deleted? No one cares how the /cyb/ IRC is being run like this and it doesn't impact 4chan in the slightest.

Are there decent, high-capacity powerbanks that aren't a complete ripoff? I'd be using them to keep my laptop(s) running for longer so at the very minimum I need like 20,000mAh. If there's something along the lines of 50Ah+ that'd be great.

Everything I find on "normal" sites like amazon is either trashed by the reviewers, or costs like 3x more than alternatives, or both. Is it not possible to get a reliable one for less than $150 or something?
>>
>>61276808
Then why are discord links allowed to be posted at all? That's hypocritical in my opinion, people here shilled the discord and their podcasts.
>>
>>61276903
You're the one that wanted the cheapest possible and you say you're a noob, stick to iOffer. Otherwise look on Yupoo pages, it won't be the cheapest possible and you will have to personally contact a chinaman on whatsapp for it.
>>
/csg/ should be a place where discord shit and youtube shit are allowed.
Why? because every little bit of information, even shill faggots, should be allowed... And if you see someone shilling a link, then debate. Come on, we are on /g/ and we're smart people (except for GNUtards, jk), we can make a good thread

It's a marketing term and useless without knowing the power factor rating on the UPS. Most UPSes are around PF 0.6 (eg: 600VA UPS should be able to drive a 360W load) but this isn't guaranteed. Unless the PF or actual wattage are listed in the device specs you can't know what it'll actually handle.

testing them right now w/ H2testw but the write speeds are so fucking slow that it'll take 14 hours to finish testing
has anyone ever successfully gotten a refund from Wish?

In same price range though you can get faaeal 64 ohm wich are similar to monks but low tones are actually there. Treble feels more natural as well.

I'm sure you were warned by /csg/, they're notorious for selling fake capacity flash drives.
>>
>>61277796
don't expect it to be cheap (and certainly not cheap as well as super portable)
the cells alone are going to run you about $60-$80 if you use regular 18650s
a good idea might well be buying a few smaller ones and soldering them together, then you get a case as well
a lot of chink sellers take great liberties with battery capacity, so keep that in mind

thinking about it you could probably hack up a car jump starter to output constant 12v 4.5A

If I can't compare it to a real one how will I know? Everyone is praising them but everyone also has a different frame of reference. I highly doubt they will rival even my relatively cheap (by /hpg/ standards) sennheiser 558s, which themselves have shortcomings, so it's not like I should expect audiophile-grade crystal clear perfect sound, but then what SHOULD I expect?

I could get a fake and have no idea. I'd just end up deciding after some time that they're rather overrated and barely ever using them.

On tv boxes though.
Is there anything that can play x265 video from network and output to a crt tv with scart? Or a fitting set of signal converters?
I really don't want to re-encode all the media I have that's better viewed on a tube just to get it to play on xbmc4xbox.

yes either to the 12v output or straight to the batteries

>>61279271
most tv boxes have hw decoders for h265 so thats not a problem, as far as connecting via scart some boxes (including my M8S, which you shouldnt buy) have mini-av ports which are easy to connect to scart though you might have to use a composite/scart cable (or make your own mini-av to scart)
>>
>>61279304

I have a Chuwi hi8 Pro coming in the mail.
I've done a bit of research on installing Linux on it.
So far they are conflicting returns on trying to do it.
There is indeed loss of touch screen as well as wifi reported on several forums (in general with Chuwi, not just that model), some say Arch Linux is possible, others suggest Intel Tinycore is compatible. I am a noob, so I have to do some extensive research on what most of the pieces of relevant advice I could sift through in threads mean, and how they can benefit me.
I've also read that it's possible to install Ubuntu, Linux Mint in particular.
I don't know if I can trust the vague, sprinkled reports of success for an actual motive to try and partition windows 10 and boot Linux over it, given my current level of skills, but I know an IT guy who can do for me the booting part.

That does look convenient but my quick search turned up mostly 3.4Ah 18650s, so with 6 of them I'm limited to 20.4Ah which is kinda meh

Except that one 2-pack of supposedly 6.8Ah (individually!) cells on amazon, which seems shady as all fuck but apparently has good reviews (which could always be paid for). I could give it a try anyway, that's like $50 total for supposedly ~40Ah, though they don't ship to UK so I'll need to figure something out from ali or whatever. Though everything I found there so far seems extremely dodgy (like the most popular 6800mah I could find, with like 60 reviews, only had one review give results of a test and the guy actually found like 1100mAh).

I'll give it some thought later.

Anyone know of any programmable number or keypads for under $15 or so?
Possibly like those "gaming pads" like the razer tartarus/nostromo or the logitech g13?
Art fag here and I've been looking to get something like that for years, specifically one of the gaming pads since they're made for the left hand as opposed to number pads for the right hand, to use for keyboard shortcuts as I draw.
Since I use a laptop, it's annoying to have to reach over away from the drawing surface to undo or change tools and I'm hoping to get a left hand keypad so I can map everything to that and have it placed wherever I need.

As someone mentioned in the last thread, I've been using a remapped number pad, but since I draw with my right hand, and the standard number pad is made for the right hand, using the pad in the left hand is really awkward. Keypads are made for the left hand and, as far as I can tell, most are also programmable meaning it'll help with shortcuts and such compared to key mapping programs which can get very iffy when it comes to using things like modifiers.

Drawfag here, bought the tartarus, it's shit. It can't be mapped like a gamepad using joy2key or xpadder because it's recognized as normal keyboard so you have to install their own software which is utter shit for macros and stuff. I'm in the process of converting mine to a gamepad using one of those breakout boards for button boxes/arcade mame

Is this a good op picture? It's nowhere near finished, or polished.

Goes without saying that I'm quite happy about the Ugee. I've been using the same pen since the first time I've charged it, and that was more than a week ago, these things seem to last.

I've got many news.

I've brought a Wifi card to use in my new PC for where ethernet isn't possible, was advertised as a 300Mbps card, only running at 150Mbps. Dispute is basically open and shut in my favour. Free wifi card here I come.

I also brought a mechanical keyboard, which was sent to the wrong city in NZ. I live in Hamilton, but it was sent and delivered to some fuck in Invercargil. No idea how the fuck that happened, but the seller isn't responding there, so another potential open and shut refund for me.

NZ Post has confirmed it's in their depot, so they'll be trying to find it and post it back to the right location.

Spent NZD$34 dollars, getting NZD$34 back due to fallacies and faults. Awesome.

Btw, I'm the guy who bought a Mi Max 2 on Thursday and got it on Friday. Was expecting to be chinked to oblivion because the courier was too fast to deliver, fortunately this was not the case.

As for the device itself, it's huge. Had a 5.2 inches phone before, looks like a toy in comparison. Some first impressions.
The battery life is absurd. I'm at 50% with over 7 hours of screen on time. My usage was mostly texting, phone calls, internet browsing and some apps, no gaming but still satisfied.
Camera is a bit meh, but gets the job done. There's some strange artifact in previews while using evernote, but just there.
Performance-wise it's consistent. No lag but not too blazing fast.
Miui is a bit of a hit and miss. Not really a fan of it, I don't dislike it either. Shame about the notifications though, they're utter shit.
Not sure if there's something more. For those interested in getting one, be sure to check the size first, not everyone will find it comfortable.

What can I get in terms of external hard drives on Ali ? I would optimally like up to 1TB, and with a budget of 60 dollars (I also would prefer to have maybe a number of them, rather than just one 1TB one for fear of losing it).

Any of you kind guys could help me find a functional bag for women. It's a gift...for me!
Anyways, I looked up the csg wiki, and browsed through the NG, Lowepro and Tigernu selection.
I like the outward design of NG but unfortunately the insides seems too compartmentalized, and I organize my stuff in seperate pouches/cases already so I don't need compartments (especially those that are cubic for camera lenses and stuff). Like the general inside of tigernu, not much a fan of the sleek polished outside. Don't like at all the general appearance of Lowepro.
So I guess I'm looking for something that outwardly looks NG, while having Tigernu interior, and preferably a feminine design/neutral tones (no bright greens, but no blacks or greys either, just a bit of color like a beige, or a pastel if you get my drift).
Thanks for any help that will be provided, I know this is not you guys domain of expertise.

I have the g13 and it's pretty neat, the software is actually pretty good for macros and shit. The only problem is that if you choose to use the joystick as a joystick, it creates a new game controller device with 2 axis and one button (for the click), so in some cases/games where you need to choose one input device to map controls to that causes problems. Either way you can use something like autohotkey or x360ce or something to get it working however you like.

My biggest complaint are the awful membrane keys. Seriously, they're bad.

In view of this, I'd advise you to just get some switches, keycaps, a soldering iron, and find a suitable case, and wire it all together yourself. You can get gat blue switches at like $0.20/switch, something similar for unprinted pbt keycaps, wires are dirt cheap, so you'll probably be easily under $15 without the case.
>>
>>61282579
X360ce exists you know

I also used vjoy at one point though I don't know if it's still in development or got replaced by something else or just got abandoned
