if you're not baiting, you should know that right now, ryzen is a far better CPU for the average consumer right now, yes even for vidyagames. it blows nearly every i3, i5 and i7 out of the water

if your friends are buying a CPU for gaming, the only intel i would recommend now is i7-7700K if the clock speed is really that important to them. If not, they should get a Ryzen 1600, it's the best bang for your buck right now.
