I was talking about OP, i built my computer out of sand and just shit post here to make sure no worthwhile discussion actually gets achieved and thus maintaining the balance of intellect and idiocy on the internet.
>>61270673
Did you not see the x1 slot?
>>61270398
no, you should have got the DC brick psu one. Now you have to get a proper pc PSU.

>Didn't buy the superior Apollo Lake
OP IS A FAGGOT
>>61270856
the only difference is SATA 3
>>61270869
Err no, Apollo Lake has superior CPU, GPU & HEVC & VP9 hardware decoders
>>61270903
the only thing I liked: ELNA capacitors (probably less audio noise)
Sata 3 is a nice bonus too but for regular use Sata 3 difference is very small
>>61270398
usb 3.0 next to a parallel port, thats magic
>>61270398
Looks good for office use or just HTPC
Not really keen on onboard graphics with a intel chip though. :(
I bought an intel atom motherboard years ago and ended up haphazardly attacking a passive cpu mount and eventually getting a passively cooled brick psu, worked pretty good for what it was
I wouldn't mind a modern version of that but they're all still so fucking awful and expensive for what they are, there's a few niche boards that pop up occasionally that have some really interesting features but for the price you may as well get a socketed mini-itx amd board and throw in a shitty amd cpu and get a far more usable pc out of it
>>61270747
there are passively cooled psus now that can handle a few hundred watts easily, they cost an arm and a leg though
>>61270856
>superior
barely even 10% increase in performance on an already laughably underpowered cpu
>>61271211
not sure if it's the case any more but intel tend to gimp these types of boards for htpc use so they don't compete too heavily with their other lines like intel nuc
>>61271211
They are pretty good now though
Posted from an atom tablet with intel gpu

What? Even Pacquiao doesn't use parallel port.
>>61270398
I have a similar one in a rack mount with 16GB ram, two extra NICs and a RAID card, running Xenserver - originally wanted esxi but just isnt happening (well it might but not easily)
been a great little machine
