SSH X forwarding should still work under wayland. Wayland doesn't really support remote desktop yet though.

Fedora gnome is terrible on lower-power machines, but the OS itself seems quite good. I'm hopeful.

This shit happened with me on Ubuntu Gnome. It was something to do with plymouthd and the fix was reinstalling it or some shit.

Ironically, I went back to Fedora.
