I'm not looking for something fancy. Just want a desk with adjustable height that is comfy for sitting at and has enough room for my PC and two 1440p monitors.
Preferably under 500 CAD, or at the very least under 1000 CAD.
Ikea has sub 500 electronic sit stand desks

Just get a fucking wooden door and put legs/file cabinets underneath the right and left side.
Best desk money can buy for a fraction of the price of the shit stores sell.

I have the non electric at work and it is quite an unstable desk, it is only attached to the top board with a bar running down the middle so it can easily skew with some heavy shit on it front or back. We had to put some cardboard in between the bar and table top to stable it out. I don't know if the electric one has the same connection piece down the middle but if so I wouldn't recommend it for your pc gear.
>too intelligent for desks

Other than the fact that her elbow isn't resting on anything, this looks perfect

Yeah I did this. Go grab some IKEA legs if you have one near you, I got 7 for a 80 inch by 30 inch door (four in the corners and kind of a triangle in the middle). Though, now I realize I don't nearly need 80 inches and would have been fine with 60. Also solid core doors are very heavy.

Why do you all live in a single room?I get not having a spare room just for the PC and other assorted shit - neither do i, but everytime someone post a pic it's always like these single room places like you're all living in some shitty Japanese condo. What gives?

I own a 3300sqft 5 bedroom home. I live and work in one 15 x 22 room. Wife and kid have everything else.

Most people here are young, single and childless.
i live in a studio.
why the fuck would i pay for extra rooms i don't need?
It's just common sense. The money i save i can use for future investments.
