Microsoft is basically a proxy for the NSA at this point though so Windows is horrible if you're a libertarian/ancap. BSD is probably the best OS for an ancap to use since it's almost entirely funded by donations from private individuals and corporations. Macs are ok, although publicly Apple opposes government backdoors there are some questions about whether they are as pro-security as they claim to be. Linux is supported by the state and NSA and GNU and GPL are communist ideologies. GNU/Linux and derivatives should be avoided at all costs. Android is even worse since it's associated with Google.
