How did they do it, /g/?
This is all a FUD campaingn by AMD to tarnish Intel's reputation
>>61246678
So Intel is planning a FUD campaign against Intel with the X299 platform? Did I get that right?

That pic is the 6C/12T and it pulls over 500W?
What was Intel thinking? And this platform is also for 12, 14, 16, 18 core CPUs? How much energy will they pull? Up to 800W or even more?

>Tiny "Thermal Paste for your TIM" Logan
Intel was clearly unhappy that AMD stole their crown after the Pentium 4 days. And they'll take it back one house fire at a time.
>>61246597
Oh my god, this isn't even the 7900X. This is one of the six-cores. Intlel, what have you unleashed?
WHAT DID WE DO TO DESERVE THIS /G/ROWS

Wait... That's the 7800x? What the fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck

> What is physics? What are physical limitations?
I don't expect these brainlet e-celebs that make tons of money off this dumb shit to just come out with it because they'd lose their shekels. As far as intel and others, welcome to the lies that are pushed through marketing. If you're dumb enough to buy it, they're smart enough to fuck you. There's a reason why EPYC runs anywhere from 2GHz-3GHZ. There's a reason. 7800x's base clock is 3.5GHz w/ boost to 4GHZ. Hate to break it to you retards, but that's towards the max you want to be running these chips at.
> MOAR CORES = LESS CLOCKS
But fuck it, let these idiots learn the hardware.
> muh $800 cooling solution doesn't defy physics
> muh e-celebs are ree'ing about physics
> muh vrms
Physics dumbass. This is why you don't listen to brainlets on youtube who make millions of dollars hawking stupid shit to you for a living.
Brainlets REEEEEEEE !!!
64 EPYC cores running an AVX workload use as much as this.

Physical limits dumbo. Try to hit 5GHZ without liquid nitrogen on 14nm and you'll literally be pulling +1000W. It's called an asymptotic power draw due to physics. There's a reason Xeons and AMD's EPYC are clocked so low. You can't push core count on 14nm and die size and expect to get 4GHZ+ clock speeds. It's just not physically possible. As core count rises and HEDT becomes the norm, the overclocking is dead. No more eceleb's cashing in thus the REEEEing. Every market goes through this maturation just as the car turners of the 90s had to grow up once manufacturers saw they could make the cash instead of aftermarket groups. These chips are coming out max'd.
>>61247406
EPYC cores run anywhere between 2GHZ-3GHZ reducing as the core count goes up. This is with a cooling system far more expensive than the shit brainlet hobbyist are playing with at home.
2017 - 10core+ = R.I.P Overclocking dimwits
>>61247383
Look at the screenshot. Look at how many cores the monitors report.
It's the 7800X.
it 6 core worse than older intel shit
