I have photoshop downloaded, but have no desire to install it.
anyone knows the feeling GIMP is literally better at this point simply because it's not bloated as hell?
I find GIMP pretty bloated too. Paint.net is nice for Windows.

Wait untill you'll have to draw a circle

Select a circle using the ellipse selection tool. Shift constrains it to a circle selection.
Select - Border
Swipe a brush across it.
What's so difficult about this?

Literally no. Even rudimentary things are a pain to do in GIMP if you're coming from photoshop. And anyone who isn't 12 years old probably already knows how to use photoshop..

any visual representation of a circle is going to be imprecise because we can't actually draw an infinitesimal point. This is as close as we can get. I just didn't bother changing the border selection on my previous drawings because they were to illustrate a technique.

But why would I waste my time in a raster graphics program doing vector graphics?
I can usually get by with Krita and Pinta these days.

i like using The GIMP with PS keyboard shortcuts. Just in case I ever have to use PS, my workflow won't be impacted too much.
