Is memtest86+ still the go to memory test?
Why does it sometimes run super fast, an another time it takes like 10 minutes to move 1%?

incomplete cycling causing fragmentation
the second run should be much faster
Did they fix the crash on multicore issue yet?
I think so. My ThinkPad has a built in memory tester in the bios so last time I needed to test the memory I used that.

That's nothing. Mine has a back cover to access the memories themselves so I can do close up inspections.

ECC is a meme. It'll only inform of memory errors without actually fixing them

>Error-correcting code memory (ECC memory) is a type of computer data storage that can detect and correct the most common kinds of internal data corruption. ECC memory is used in most computers where data corruption cannot be tolerated under any circumstances, such as for scientific or financial computing.

ECC corrects if it can, depends on the stick but all can correct single bit errors.
