I truly think, based on other boards I have visited before /g/, that 4chan would be improved if moderator powers were handed out randomly for a couple of hours at a time. I recommend it as an April Fool's prank every year. The main problem with this site is insufficient moderation, and the moderation that does take place seems to enrage the users. If users were the ones enforcing the rules, both those problems would disappear. Shitposters are far outnumbered by well-intentioned posters who don't want to ruin things for everyone, but if a shitty poster did unfortunately get the lucky free banhammer, they would lose it again soon, so there would be no permanent damage. It would also add to the sense of fun and anarchy that made a name for 4chan.

This actually seems like a pretty good place for me to ask a question. I've been looking into using a proxy to browse privately. Unfortunately every single one that I found or tried has not worked well with 4chan.
