I set up a coinbase account a long time ago which I have bitcoins stored in. Coinbase has phone number verification but I no longer have that phone number. So I'm locked out of my account. I have $7500 in bitcoin on that account.
I want to buy the phone number I used to have so I can receive a SMS from coinbase.

You can't. Enjoy.
You go to the cellular network provider the number belonged to, explain the situation and ask whether it's possible.
If It was registered to you it might be possible. If it was a burner phone you just lost 7500 bucks worth or your ancap money.

It was a burner phone. I still know my account, password, still have access to the email. But the phone verification is where I'm locked out.
There must be some kind of service that let's you choose your number? The number is unused.

Why don't you just use some kind of service that lets you choose a Coinbase account? :^)

If the number is unused, I think you can just go to the carrier store and sign up for some mobile plan and ask them to give u that number.
Also, you can try contacting coinbase and they might be able to help you out if you can provide the requisite IDs.

>>61196701
Yes, it all depends on your phone number being taken or not
>>61196701
Yes but it would be much less of a hassle to contact coinbase and explain the situation instead. Just be sure you didn't fake a few things here and there.
