I've ordered my OP5 on Monday(26.06), it got delivered to me on Thursday(29.06), it worked fine for just 2 days. Today when i woke up i realised my alarm didn't go off and the phone was basically dead, I had to hard reboot it. So I submitted a return request for my OnePlus 5 too see what the procedure for returning it would be and possibly to do it. I said that I wasn't happy with the jelly screen scrolling effect, and linked to a video showing it.
A support to responded later saying this:
"I understand that you'd like to continue enjoying a smooth scrolling experience as you go about regular browsing.
I'd like you to know that this has already been reported and since we'd like to be as accurate as possible when providing important information like this, we're still waiting for an official update regarding the matter.
-This is an automated response. Please don't reply to this mail."
So nothing regarding a return even though I selected that category in the support ticket. This reply is interesting, since they didn't say it's normal like they told the media. My guess is they will release an "official update" just when the return window closes for most people which would suck.
I'll give them a few days, but it's slightly worrying. OnePlus are probably frantically trying to figure out if it's something they can fix, or just a design flaw.

I sent off my Oneplus 5 due to an issue with the mic constantly picking up interference (crackling and popping noises). Just received a mail today and surprise surprise it hasn't been fixed! The repair centre stated 'they couldn't find the issue'. I even contacted support while the phone is at the repair centre and tried to ensure that this wouldn't happen! But they refused to contact the repair centre :(
After speaking to customer support for a while all they can do is offer to fix it again, which means yet a month or two away from the phone.
Their customer support is still very iffy. I mean you'll find success stories on here too among all the bad ones, but that doesn't mean the bad ones don't happen.
So to anyone considering buying a Oneplus phone, please just keep in mind that should something go wrong you may not have the best experience.

Very strange. If I'm going to pay full retail price for a new device it should be just that - new. Not tampered with or left with strange picture(s) on it.

Anyway I got the Oneplus 5 and when I plug it in. I get this message: http://i.imgur.com/y9c0ERv.png. Which is an issue in itself but not the reason I am writing. I can only assume it is part of Oneplus 5 because it only shows up when I plug in the oneplus 5.
Anywho this thing does not eject. I think it has something in it that makes ejecting all USBs not work because I had a flashdrive that wouldn't eject also. After I restarted my computer, the flashdrive ejects normally. It also makes it impossible to shut down the computer. I had to hold the power button to shut the computer down (Which I ended up doing twice).
I plugged it into my Chromebook to try to work around the initial problem of computer not recognizing it. Which showed me something interesting. This is where I am at now. I don't know what the files do but it seems to be causing my issues.
To sum up:
Computer doesn't recognize the phone but Chromebook does(Perhaps it is because the mystery drive doesn't effect Chromebooks).
After plugging in phone can't eject devices. Not sure if it happens after I select transfer files in phone or when it is plugged in.

That's the driver partition. Normally when you plug in a OP5 (the 3/3T does it too afaik), you should get two devices popping up. One is the phone as a media device and the other is supposed to appear like a driver CD. It does in fact contain drivers, though they're completely unnecessary so I don't know why they bother.

I made the mistake of buying a one plus one and a one plus two. Both phones had awful white marks on the screen. Terrible quality

I'm reading all the OP fails on various social media sites. it's fucking hilarious!

As I was talking to the supervisor, someone else from support asked me to send pictures of the package the phone arrived in. I asked what is the point of doing so if this was a manufacturing defect and they said that their quality control ensures that each product is created to the highest standard possible... so they're trying to pin the blame on delivery. The package is completely fine so they're trying to place the blame back on me and not accept the fact that it was a defect.
