WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?
What the fuck were YOU thinking when you downloaded this garbage?

>instead
you wouldn't torrent illegal things, do you anon?
>>61178888
N-no, officer, of course not, I use netflix for my...shows!
>>61176548
What about it? Rather stupid to use a client with a browser or a search engine since it's bloat and a security risk, but there's nothing inherently terrible about either and you have the option of getting away from bloated clients by using uTorrent 2.2.1.
IMO, if your torrent client is over 391KB, it's too much.
Mfw utorrent is becoming just like limewire
>>61176548
Still the best (sadly)
isn't there any torrent client that lets me search for files that are being seeded instead of just fetching stuff from download files that I provide to it?
I used to do that back in the day with dreamule (I think that's the name idk)
>>61176548
Well personally I find the "upgrade to pro" more shocking. It's a torrent client. What exactly do you need a pro version for?
Lmao the faggots in the /ptg/ swear by uTorrent and get triggered when I use tixati
>>61179327
>not getting the pro version
I bet you didn't even buy winrar you pleb
>>61179341
>Lmao the faggots in the /ptg/ swear by uTorrent
Are you fucking serious?
Damn, uTorrent looks like THAT, all bloated and full of features no one asked for?
do people actually use utorrent? I would've thought that the current owners of utorrent burned the good will of the community a long ass time ago. I mean, utorrent was one of the best clients, this looks and acts nothing like the utorrent that was once praised.
>>61179370
>not downloading uTorrent pro with the regular uTorrent
>>61179418
meanwhile rtorrent never has and never will be the bloated trash that utorrent has become
>>61179137
Do people believe this unironically? If so, why?
>>61180583
what's the defacto client nowadays? qtorrent?
also unrelated but is there any good public trackers available nowadays? it seems it's getting harder and harder to find any torrents
>>61179231
qbittorrent shows seeds in its search engine
>>61180713
qbittorrent and deluge are both great clients that are both easy to use and extremely effective

>>61180713
>it's getting harder and harder to find any torrents
I'm sure scouring the earth for an invite for a private tracker is a lot easier.
>>61180806
getting invites from private trackers nowadays is like going through interviews to get hired in the CIA. internet is really turning into shit

Enjoy your botnet.
>>61178516

lol
>>61181282
theyre both free (as in freedom) software under the GPL you faggot, you could just go see if they're a botnet or not for yourself from the source. utorrent is the botnet as the proprietary adware shit it is.
>>61176548
have a (you)
>>61181259
seeing as you only used public trackers up to this point i doubt you seed much anyway. thats why private trackers need to be elite
>>61178888
nice quads bro
qBittorrent doesn't come bundled with malware, performs better and it's FOSS.
inb4 le stalled FUD meme.
>>61176548
why do people even use this
>>61181721
qBittorent is fucking shit and everyone knows it. The best client is utorrent 2.2.1 and op is a retard for updating his
>>61179418
This is what I want to ask microsoft just replace utorrent with windows

If you have it installed go to the installation folder (I think now it's in C:/Users/username/AppData/Roaming/uTorrent/) while uT is running look after where it creates these folders:
> apps
> dlimagecache
> share
> updates
Especially the last two. Create dummy files and set their attributes to read-only.
Options > Preferences > Advanced...
Turn ALL settings to false:
bt.enable_pulse
distributed_share.enable
gui.show_notorrents_node
offers.left_rail_offer_enabled
gui.show_plus_upsell
offers.content_offer_autoexec
offers.sponsored_torrent_offer_enabled
offers.featured_content.badge.enabled
offers.featured_content_notifications_enabled
offers.featured_content_rss_enabled
Hidden menu = Options > Preferences > Hold F2/Shift while clicking Advanced:
gui.show_gate_notify
gui.show_plus_av_upsell
gui.show_plus_conv_upsell
gui.show_plus_upsell_nodes
This list is not up to date, so after allthis search for stuf like "ad" "offer" and set to false. Also do a search fot "http" and replace the address with 0.0.0.0 (let http colon slash slash in front).
Note, if you don't need associations use the portable version from portableapps.
uTorrent also supports portabilisation by itself (I have only tested once, but it works, I just prefer the PAF version). Create "settings.dat" in the folder with the uTorrent.exe. This version may allow associations too.

Change it all you want. You're still running a botnet.

It seems you're too retarded to install transmission.
So I'm just gonna call you a faggot and sage and hide this thread.
Faggot.
>>61184478
But those are just dummy bytes reserved in you HDD, not the actual complete file.
It's maddening.
